| Alishan Forestry Railway Main Line Outward Ticket (Up-train 10:00 Shift: Chiayi-Alishan) 

• Single journey ticket from Chiayi train station to Alishan, with only 2 cars and 23 reservation seats available each day. Limited availability, reservations are prioritized.

| Alishan Railway Station 

Alishan Railway Station is the terminus of the Alishan Forestry Railway, and also the starting point for the Alishan branch lines to Zhushan, Shouping, and Shenshu.
In the 1970s, due to a surge in tourists and lack of space in the Shouping area, construction began in August 1977 to expand the Alishan Forest Playground.
It was completed and officially put into use on January 11, 1981. It was called the "New Alishan Station" to distinguish it from the still-in-use Shouping old station.
The 921 Earthquake in 1999 turned the new station into a dangerous building and it was shut down, and the terminus of the main line returned to the Shouping station.
After 2003, to reduce the operational burden of the Shouping station, the Forestry Conservation Bureau built a temporary station next to the Alishan garage and rebuilt a new station on the original site after the disaster. The Alishan Station was officially completed and reopened in September 2007.

• Travelers can book a ride up to 60 days in advance, the reservation cannot be cancelled or altered after confirmation. Please confirm your travel date before making a reservation. Each service must be booked at least 3 days before, by 23:59. For example, if you wish to travel on 4/14, you must book by 23:59 on 4/11.

• Refund Policy: If the train service is suspended due to force majeure like natural disasters, or issues attributable to the Forest Rail itself, refunding will be possible. Conditions for refunding during typhoon periods: Customers who have already booked "tickets during the period from the issuance of a typhoon warning onshore in Taiwan until it is lifted" can apply for a refund (if the ticket was used with THSR or TRA tourist passes, please refer to THSR or TRA's refund policies).
• Travelers should arrive at the Alishan station platform designated for the Forest Rail on their chosen reservation date, and open the "Return ticket for Alishan Forest Railway Main Line" in the Taiwan PASS APP, showing the QR CODE to the staff for verification and entry.
• Please board according to the actual booked service and assigned seats. The designated seats in this ticket are 23 seats in car 2, please board according to the actual seat number provided by the system (do not take any other seats!)
• Please present the QRcode screen to the conductor whenever your ticket is checked during the journey.
• This ticket includes entry to the Alishan Forest Recreation Area, if you want to enter or leave the park, please have the ticket staff at the entrance stamp your hand, so you can enter and leave repeatedly.
