The Golden Reel Figure 8 Ferris Wheel is an iconic landscape feature of the Studio City Resort in Macau. This huge figure-eight ferris wheel stands between two hotel buildings and reaches up to 130 meters high.

｜Golden Reel Ferris Wheel in Studio City Macau

Be amongst the first to ride the newly opened attractions at Studio City - Macau's Hollywood-inspired entertainment hotspot. The Golden Reel Ferris Wheel has 17 pods traveling around a figure 8 shaped track and resembling a running 35 film reel! At 425ft high this spectacular structure is the highest in Asia, with stunning views of the South China Sea - it's a real must-do in Macau. The figure 8 track takes 15 minutes to circumnavigate, with each pod holding up to 10 people.

  • Redemption Method: Please select the date for the ticket you wish to use in the HONG KONG FunPASS APP and present the QR code on-site on the day of use for entry.
    • Please ensure you have confirmed the time and details, as reservations cannot be rescheduled or canceled.
    • An internet connection is required when displaying the electronic voucher webpage, so please ensure you have network access when presenting the voucher.
    • Do not operate the electronic voucher webpage yourself; it must be operated and confirmed by staff.

INCLEMENT WEATHER ARRANGEMENTS
  • During Macau’s typhoon season (May to September), the operating hours of the entertainment attractions might be affected by inclement weather. Please see below for the “Golden Reel” operating hours under the respective weather warnings:
  • Amber Rainstorm Warning: “Golden Reel” remains open
  • Thunderstorm Warning, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning: “Golden Reel” will be suspended due to poor weather condition. It will resume normal operation approximately 1 hour after the warning is lowered
  • Typhoon Signal No. 1: “Golden Reel” remains open. But it will be closed early approximately 2 hours prior to the Typhoon Signal No. 3 hoisted for preparation works
  • Typhoon Signal No. 3: “Golden Reel” will be suspended due to poor weather condition. It will resume normal operation approximately 3 hours after the signal is lowered
  • Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above: “Golden Reel” will be suspended due to poor weather condition
GOLDEN REEL CONDITION OF ENTRY
  • Due to the nature of this attraction, guests with the following conditions are advised that they participate in this attraction at their own risk: (a)Fear of heights or vertigo (b)Claustrophobia or fear of confined spaces
  • Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18
  • Food and drinks are not allowed inside Golden Reel or in the waiting area
  • Smoking is prohibited inside Golden Reel and in the waiting area
  • Please store your belongings in the cloakroom before Admission
  • Please keep your personal belongings with you at all times
  • The maximum capacity of each cabin is 10 people
  • In busy periods each capsule will be filled to capacity of 10 and as such you may share the capsule with another party
  • Unless a private cabin has been booked, groups of 10 persons will not always travel in the same capsule
  • For safety reasons, the doors of the capsules cannot be opened form the inside during the journey
  • In the event of an emergency, our evacuation procedures will be activated. Ensuring that you are kept safe and unharmed during the event
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any person they suspect may adversely impact a safe, hygienic and healthy environment at the venue for the other guests and employees, Refund or exchange of tickets will be made to these guests in accordance with the ticket Terms and Conditions of sale
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission and to evict any person whose conduct is disorderly or inappropriate or who poses a threat security or to the enjoyment of the show
  • For security purposes, you may be requested to open any bag, package or other item which is in your possession before admission
  • Please ask the staff for mobility assistance
  • Guests must be appropriately clothed and must wear shoes at all time, Guests not appropriately clothed and or with bare feet will not be permitted for admission
  • Unless Otherwise started in the Conditions of Entry, if a guest is not admitted to enter or is evicted for any reason stated in the Conditions of Entry, no refund of the ticket or any compensation will be paid
Limitation
  • Infants under the age of 2 receive free admission (Valid ID cards should be presented upon entry)
  • Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18
  • Strollers are not allowed on the Ferris wheel.
